Assistant Project Manager (Construction)

Location: Alexandria, United States; travel to project work sites up to 70+ miles away is required

Salary: $78,000–$124,000 per year

What you will do

• Coordinate safety, budgets, contracts, schedules, trade contractors, suppliers, and project documentation.
• Prepare and monitor construction schedules, resolve issues, and support schedule revisions.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, ASIs, change orders, submittals, procurement status, and delivery schedules.
• Manage project costs, budgets, cash flow, pay applications, lien waivers, and contractor payments.
• Support constructability reviews, risk assessments, estimating, scope matrices, and contract performance expectations.
• Lead or participate in project meetings, close-out activities, punch lists, quality control, and final owner acceptance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, or engineering with 2+ years of related project management experience; or an associate degree in construction management with 4+ years of related experience.
• Knowledge of shop drawing submittals, building plans and specifications, construction safety standards, and project coordination.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Procore, P6, Bluebeam, and Prolog.
• Current or ability to become current with OSHA 30 and company safety requirements.
• Willingness to work in various climate conditions and travel to project sites up to 70+ miles away.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, interpersonal, and multitasking skills with demonstrated integrity and ethical standards.
