HSS - Project Manager

Location: United Kingdom — any city. Candidates must have the right to work in the United Kingdom and meet applicable UK Government and contractual personnel security and residency requirements. Some roles may have nationality requirements.

What you will do

• Define and manage schedules, budgets, objectives, and statements of work for one or more medium-sized projects.
• Coordinate project teams, staffing, assignments, deadlines, and communication across multidisciplinary and virtual teams.
• Monitor project status, identify risks, and implement approved mitigation plans.
• Manage changes to technical requirements, business requirements, and project schedules with stakeholders.
• Collect project metrics, manage expectations, and recommend changes based on project performance.
• Participate in delivery assurance reviews and ensure compliance with project management procedures.

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication, collaboration, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience estimating work, using project management tools, and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to lead, guide, and mentor less experienced personnel.
• Experience working with virtual project teams and maintaining formal and informal stakeholder networks.
• Ability to meet UK Government and contractual personnel security, residency, right-to-work, and potentially nationality requirements.

Nice to have

• 3–5 years of end-to-end experience managing medium- to large-scale projects.
• PRINCE2 Practitioner, Managing Successful Programs, PMP, or another recognised project management certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information technology, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with project management methodologies, delivery assurance, business applications, supplier management, and project architecture, development, integration, or deployment.
• Knowledge of Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.
