Site Reliability Engineer (Cloud Banking)

What you will do

• Operate and maintain production infrastructure hosting Vault core banking and payments products.
• Support product engineering teams in designing highly fault-tolerant and scalable applications through design discussions, RFCs, and code reviews.
• Design and scope disaster recovery, backup, redundancy, and capacity-planning initiatives.
• Participate in a global on-call rotation to identify and resolve bottlenecks in SaaS customer environments.
• Define and implement reliability-focused product features, operational processes, documentation, and runbooks.
• Mentor team members and promote engineering communities of best practice.

Requirements

• Demonstrated delivery of high-impact projects focused on long-term scalability and reducing manual intervention as usage grows.
• Strong understanding of hosting and networking architecture design patterns.
• Significant project experience with Python or Golang.
• Experience with Kubernetes or another container orchestration system.
• Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Terraform, Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
• Extensive experience with AWS or GCP, plus expertise in database administration, networking, observability, or automation infrastructure.
