Data Scientist - Machine Learning Focus

What you will do

• Manage the end-to-end AI development lifecycle with the Product Owner, from requirements gathering and data sourcing through model development, proof-of-concept demonstrations, governance reviews, and production deployment.
• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning, natural language processing, and artificial intelligence models.
• Deploy solutions across on-premises and AWS environments.
• Automate manual processes and build reusable, scalable self-service tools and assets.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging machine learning, cloud, and AI technologies.
• Communicate project status, risks, blockers, and resource needs to leadership.

Requirements

• PhD or Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of related experience with AWS cloud machine learning or a similar AI platform.
• Familiarity with AWS SageMaker, Lambda, S3, Athena, and related services.
• Programming experience with Python or R, plus Spark and modern data science tools.
• Hands-on experience with large language models, embeddings, vector databases, LangChain, and prompt engineering.
• Practical experience with LLM fine-tuning, advanced RAG methods, agentic AI workflows, and AWS AI/ML services such as Bedrock, JumpStart, and Textract.
