Senior DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes)

Location: Budapest, Hungary; hybrid role requiring weekly presence in the Budapest office

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure for software and services.
• Build and maintain Kubernetes-based platforms, GCP and AWS cloud infrastructure, and automation tooling.
• Improve developer experience through CI/CD pipelines, observability, and platform tooling.
• Own production systems, including monitoring, performance optimization, alerting, and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to infrastructure architecture decisions and mentor engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with Software, Test, and Data teams on platform improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE roles supporting production SaaS systems.
• Hands-on experience with Linux administration, Kubernetes, GCP, AWS, Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Experience scripting with Bash, Python, or similar languages.
• Experience with monitoring and observability systems such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and Sentry.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure security, networking fundamentals, and complex distributed production systems.
• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with 3D printing workflows or hardware/software integration.
• Experience building developer platforms or internal tooling for large engineering teams.
• Interest in improving engineering productivity and operational maturity through automation and tooling.
