TL;DR
DevOps Engineer (Cloud/BSS): Operating and maintaining a business-critical BSS system in a cloud environment with an accent on middleware installations, upgrades, infrastructure support, and log-based monitoring. Focus on managing enterprise Linux, Java, Oracle, virtualization, Kubernetes, and GitOps workflows while handling on-call and night maintenance duties.
Location: Budapest, Debrecen, Pécs, or Szeged, Hungary. Remote work is available only within Hungary due to European taxation regulation.

What you will do
- Operate and maintain a business-critical BSS system in a cloud environment.
- Install and upgrade middleware components.
- Support enterprise applications and infrastructure.
- Monitor business use cases through log-file analysis.
- Perform on-call duties and maintenance during night hours.
- Apply DevOps principles and collaborate with internal customers.
Requirements
- 3–4+ years of DevOps experience in enterprise environments.
- Experience operating, maintaining, and supporting business-critical applications and infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of Linux, Java, and Oracle databases in enterprise environments.
- Experience with VMware, Kubernetes, GitLab or GitHub, and GitOps workflows.
- Familiarity with Git, Ansible, Jira, Confluence, and Jenkins.
- Good written and spoken English; structured, self-organized, communicative, and customer-oriented approach.
Nice to have
- Experience with additional programming languages.
- Knowledge of ITIL incident, problem, and change processes.
- Certifications in software engineering or Unix-based operating systems.
