AI Software Intern

hirify.global develops 3D printing technology and software for product development, medical devices, prototyping, and manufacturing.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and evaluate machine learning models for 3D spatial data, geometric analysis, and automated print workflows.
• Develop real-time computer vision pipelines and time-series analysis for system monitoring and defect detection.
• Profile and optimize model architectures for fast, resource-efficient execution in desktop software and cloud environments.
• Collaborate with software engineers and cross-disciplinary teams to turn research concepts into high-quality software prototypes.

Requirements

• Pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong foundations in linear algebra and 3D geometry.
• Deep proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Foundational knowledge of C++ and clean-code principles, with interest in performant, production-ready software.
• Experience with unstructured datasets, point clouds, meshes, voxel grids, or machine learning for real-world physical systems.
• Full-time, 40-hour-per-week onsite commitment in Somerville, Massachusetts, from January through April 2027.

Nice to have

• Experience with edge deployment optimization using TensorRT or ONNX Runtime.
• Familiarity with Open3D, CGAL, or other open-source 3D and computational geometry libraries.
