TL;DR
Product Owner (Tolling): Shaping backend electronic road-charging products and services across the full product lifecycle with an accent on product vision, backlog management, user stories, and stakeholder alignment. Focus on coordinating agile development for vehicle registration, country booking, onboard units, position data, charge calculation, and fleet billing solutions.
Location: Budapest, Debrecen, Pécs, or Szeged, Hungary. Remote work is available only within Hungary due to European taxation regulations.

What you will do
- Define the product vision and manage the full lifecycle of backend tolling products and services.
- Create and maintain the product backlog, including detailed user stories.
- Align technical and non-technical stakeholders through clear communication.
- Support the development and operation of electronic road-charging solutions covering vehicle registration, country booking, onboard units, position data, charge calculation, and fleet billing.
- Apply agile methods and practices while working in an international, self-organized team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, natural sciences, mathematics, business, or equivalent IT experience.
- More than 3 years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role.
- Experience creating and maintaining backlogs and user stories.
- Strong communication skills and experience working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with Java programming and proficiency in Jira and Confluence.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, MongoDB, Kafka, reactive programming, Quarkus, REST/SOAP messaging, or Prometheus.
- Experience with SAFe and certification as a Product Owner.
- Knowledge of tolling products and services.
- German language knowledge.
