Statutory Accountant with Italian

Location: Hybrid from Wrocław, with possible options from Warsaw, Kraków, or Gdańsk, Poland

What you will do

• Prepare annual financial statements and related notes according to Italian GAAP.
• Convert management GAAP figures to country GAAP and perform statutory accounting reviews.
• Book required adjustments and reclassifications while monitoring balance-sheet risk areas.
• Coordinate with country accounting teams, tax teams, business owners, finance functions, and auditors to resolve discrepancies and audit queries.
• Prepare tax-return information, support monthly tax compliance, and complete national statistics forms.
• Identify statutory process improvements and support consistent legal-entity variance analysis.

Requirements

• Fluent English and Italian.
• Experience preparing complete financial statements according to Italian GAAP.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and statutory requirements.
• Excellent analytical, communication, teamwork, and stakeholder-influence skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• University degree in business or economics; an accounting certification, advanced degree, or master's degree in accounting, auditing, or controlling is beneficial.
