TL;DR
Forward Deployed Engineer - Lead AI & Agentic Engineer (AI/Agentic Systems): Designing and delivering enterprise agentic AI applications, multi-agent workflows, and RAG pipelines with an accent on Python services, LLM integrations, data modeling, and AI governance. Focus on architecting production systems, translating enterprise requirements into AI roadmaps, defining responsible-use guardrails, and mentoring engineers across complex client engagements.
Location: London, United Kingdom. The role includes travel and work on customer premises as required.

What you will do
- Own the technical direction and delivery of major enterprise AI programmes.
- Design and build agentic AI applications, multi-agent workflows, and supporting frameworks.
- Build RAG pipelines, integrate LLM APIs, vector databases, and MCP tooling, and structure unstructured data into usable knowledge.
- Develop production-grade Python services with FastAPI, testing, code review, CI/CD, and GitHub practices.
- Collaborate with platform engineering on deployment, scaling, MLOps, and LLMOps while defining observability for production AI systems.
- Translate enterprise requirements into AI roadmaps, establish governance guardrails, provide architectural oversight, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- 8–10+ years of software or solution engineering experience, including delivery of AI systems in client-facing engagements.
- Strong Python and FastAPI engineering skills with solid SDLC practices, including design, testing, code review, CI/CD, Git, and GitHub.
- Hands-on experience with agentic AI frameworks, MCP, RAG or LLM pipelines, and vector databases.
- Experience with relational and graph databases such as Postgres and Neo4j for AI application data modeling.
- Experience with AI coding copilots and the ability to communicate AI capabilities as business outcomes for senior stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel and work on customer premises as required.
Nice to have
- Experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, image understanding, or OCR.
- Knowledge of OPA/Rego, LLM governance, data privacy, guardrails, and responsible-use controls.
- T-shaped expertise spanning AI engineering, software engineering, and technical consulting.
- Relevant degree in computer science, data science, informatics, engineering, physics, mathematics, or equivalent professional experience.
