Solution Engineer, Manager (Java/.NET)

Location: Sydney, Australia; hybrid work with up to 2 work-from-home days per week

What you will do

• Lead customer engagements from initial contact through solution deployment as the technical and commercial interface.
• Understand customer business requirements and design effective end-to-end solutions.
• Develop and own the technical and commercial content of customer proposals.
• Coordinate solution development with internal and external stakeholders, including account management, pricing, customer service, and project management.
• Document non-functional solution components such as interfaces, data migration, and infrastructure design.
• Support project handover, identify new business opportunities, and coach colleagues in pre-sales activities.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience in information technology, preferably in the air transport industry and solution design or technical pre-sales.
• Proven experience producing, communicating, and documenting successful technical customer proposals.
• Experience with end-to-end solutions, application architecture, Java, .NET, messaging, web services, high-availability distributed solutions, and Oracle databases.
• Strong customer-facing, interpersonal, presentation, problem-solving, commercial, and financial skills.
• Ability to interact with key decision-makers and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
• Degree or equivalent experience in engineering, computer technologies, or business.

• Knowledge of the technical and commercial aspects of the air transport industry.
• MBA.
