Director, Professional Services Consulting (AI)

Location: Johannesburg, South Africa. At least 3 days per week in the office are required.

What you will do

• Lead consulting projects for commercial and corporate banking clients across African markets.
• Resolve complex strategic problems and manage project scope, budgets, documentation, vendors, and delivery.
• Design and project-manage the implementation of consulting recommendations, marketing campaigns, product value propositions, and migrations.
• Analyze hirify.global and external data to identify client needs and consulting opportunities.
• Develop pitches, proposals, and consultative sales opportunities while partnering with sales, marketing, VCS, VCA, and regional teams.
• Share knowledge across global consulting teams and provide expertise in corporate and commercial banking advisory.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, 8+ years with an advanced degree, or 3+ years with a PhD.
• At least 5 years of consulting experience in a primary strategy or management consulting firm.
• Experience delivering complex strategy projects and leading engagements end to end.
• Strong client engagement, public speaking, stakeholder management, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
• Proficiency with generative and agentic AI, including trends, use cases, and practical use of the tools.
• Ability to work with senior stakeholders in multicultural, multifunctional, and interdisciplinary environments.

Nice to have

• Experience in small business or corporate banking, strategy, business functions, or B2B money movement.
• Experience across multiple African countries and a combination of regional and global experience.
• Master’s degree or equivalent.
