What you will do
- Own engineering execution for Machines4U across product development, platform reliability, engineering practices, and delivery cadence.
- Translate business priorities into a sequenced engineering roadmap and deliver measurable commercial outcomes.
- Lead a high-performing distributed engineering team and maintain strong behavioural and technical standards.
- Partner with product and engineering stakeholders to shape the technology landscape and align decisions with business needs.
- Modernise the technology stack while balancing legacy platform stability with scalable, secure, and group-aligned systems.
- Oversee platform integrations, third-party dependencies, security, reliability, compliance, architecture reviews, and incident response.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading engineering teams in a product-led, commercially driven environment.
- Strong technical depth across modern backend and frontend web stacks, cloud infrastructure, and API design.
- Experience delivering engineering roadmaps and operating across mixed legacy and modern technology environments.
- Ability to review architecture, unblock engineers, identify quality issues, and balance delivery pace with security, reliability, and scalability standards.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills across product, engineering, and senior leadership.
- Full-time Australian working rights are required, along with completion of a National Police Record check.
