Machine Learning Compositing TD (ML)

What you will do

• Work with artists, supervisors, pipeline, and production teams to translate creative needs into usable ML tools and workflows.
• Build, test, deploy, and maintain ML-driven production tools and utilities using Python and PyTorch.
• Train and fine-tune models, prepare datasets, troubleshoot model behavior, and assess output quality.
• Validate workflows on real shots and ensure ML tools integrate effectively into compositing pipelines.
• Support global onboarding, documentation, and training for artists and departments.
• Identify opportunities for ML to improve production efficiency and creative exploration.

Requirements

• Location: 100% remote within Australia.
• Comfort with Python, basic PyTorch training concepts, and Git.
• Experience building simple tools and utilities for artist workflows.
• Solid Nuke skills and strong knowledge of 2D and 3D compositing workflows, including keying, tracking, CG integration, projections, multi-pass compositing, color management, and shot finishing.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical, artistic, workflow, and model-output issues.
• Clear communication skills, with the ability to teach technical concepts to artists and supervisors across studios and time zones.
