Supply Chain Manager (Photonics)

What you will do

• Lead sourcing strategy and end-to-end supply chain management for lasers, photonic integrated circuits, photodetectors, fiber array units, and other optical components.
• Translate forecasts and build schedules into supplier capacity requirements, allocation requests, and supply plans.
• Identify, qualify, and manage suppliers through technical audits, sample evaluation, process capability reviews, and commercial negotiations.
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, planning, production, product, program management, and contract manufacturing partners.
• Develop cost-reduction roadmaps and track supplier performance across delivery, quality, cost, and capacity metrics.
• Build contingency and dual-source plans for critical components and maintain supply risk dashboards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Materials Science, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• 5+ years of sourcing, procurement, and supply chain experience.
• Experience negotiating supply agreements and managing supplier relationships across Asia and other global regions.
• Strong analytical and cross-functional stakeholder management skills.
• Technical grounding in optics or photonics sufficient to evaluate supplier capabilities and reduce single-source dependencies.
