What you will do
- Manage the purchase order lifecycle, including requisition-to-PO conversion, blanket orders, acknowledgments, and PO closure.
- Expedite or de-expedite orders to prevent material shortages and production line-down risks.
- Maintain accurate pricing, minimum order quantities, and lead times in ERP/MRP systems.
- Collaborate with Planning, GCM, Engineering, Logistics, and Finance to resolve parts shortages and quality issues.
- Support supplier performance reviews, return-to-supplier negotiations, end-of-life exposure reduction, and second-source qualification.
- Monitor weeks of supply, aging, and pallet requirements for storage.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or a similar role.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent.
- Strong negotiation, influencing, supplier communication, and relationship-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability under pressure, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Basic data-analysis skills using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or OBEIE.
Nice to have
- Direct-materials procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with contract compliance and supplier negotiations.
- Lean or Kaizen experience and a continuous-improvement mindset.
- Knowledge of commodity landscapes to support second-source strategies.
