Research Associate (Molecular Diagnostics)

Salary: $75,029–$85,748 per year base pay; total compensation up to $104,322 per year.

What you will do

• Design, execute, and troubleshoot experiments and molecular assays under the guidance of Senior Scientists.
• Learn and apply analytical and computational methods to analyze experimental results.
• Present scientific findings in group meetings and internal written reports.
• Document experimental procedures, details, and results with precision.
• Collaborate with scientific, engineering, laboratory, and bioinformatics teams to implement workflows.
• Help organize and maintain the R&D laboratory.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Bioengineering, Molecular and Cell Biology, Microbiology, Biophysics, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of research experience during or after a BS/MS program.
• Previous experience with molecular biology techniques, especially PCR, electrophoresis, and DNA purification.
• Strong mathematical, statistical, analytical, and quantitative reasoning skills.
• Ability to learn mathematical, analytical, and experimental concepts quickly.
• Excellent attention to experimental detail and documentation.

Nice to have

• Startup experience.
• Knowledge of medical genetics or cell-free DNA.
• Experience preparing next-generation sequencing libraries.
• Computational analysis experience in R, Python, or another programming language.
