Cytotechnologist - Laboratory - Full Time

Location: Nashua, New Hampshire — 8 Prospect St; onsite, Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M.–4:30 P.M.; no weekends or holidays

What you will do

• Prepare and screen Pap smear specimens using ThinPrep and imaging technology.
• Screen and evaluate gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens, identifying benign, infectious, pre-malignant, and malignant cellular changes.
• Refer complex cases to the laboratory supervisor or pathologist.
• Perform quality control activities, document results, and initiate corrective actions when needed.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, procedures, records, and compliance with hospital and accrediting standards.
• Participate in quality assurance, continuing education, safety, accreditation, and departmental operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science, physical science, biological science, or a related field.
• Graduation from an approved cytotechnologist training program.
• CT (ASCP) certification and ThinPrep Cytology Screening Training and Certification required.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Strong computer, analytical, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently while managing multiple responsibilities.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in cytotechnology.
• One to three years of cytotechnologist experience.
• ThinPrep Imaging Processor and Review Scope certification.
• ThinPrep T-2000 training and certification.
