Senior Solutions Architect (Financial Services)

Location: United States — Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, New York, North Carolina, Texas, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.

Salary: $219,100–$301,300 USD annually, with potential bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Drive technical and consumption strategies for complex customer engagements, increasing platform adoption and revenue impact.
• Own senior technical relationships and advise enterprise customers on data and AI strategy.
• Lead architecture engagements involving multi-workload platforms, enterprise migrations, real-time systems, and AI/ML at scale.
• Develop competitive strategies and position Databricks against incumbent and emerging platforms.
• Orchestrate DSAs, SSAs, partners, and product teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.
• Mentor junior solutions architects and contribute to customer-facing thought leadership, workshops, and community engagement.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in solutions architecture, principal engineering, technical pre-sales leadership, or a senior customer-facing technical role.
• Expert coding proficiency in Python and SQL; Spark or PySpark experience is preferred.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems, streaming and real-time architectures, lakehouse design, data governance, and cloud-native platforms.
• Expert knowledge of the Databricks Platform or equivalent depth in competing platforms.
• Recognized technical specialization in areas such as real-time architecture, ML/AI platforms, data governance, large-scale migrations, or industry solutions.
• Experience driving platform adoption, leading competitive displacements, influencing executive stakeholders, and connecting architecture decisions to business outcomes.
