Automotive Senior Technician (Automotive)

Location: 018538 North Blanding; onsite retail service position

Salary: $19.57–$32.02 per hour through a performance-based flat-rate compensation model

What you will do

• Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel, ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and required repairs to customers without mechanical expertise.
• Use ongoing paid training to stay current with changing automotive technology.
• Assist and train technicians and mechanics in technical activities.
• Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certification in at least three A1–A8 areas within the first two years.

Requirements

• Valid automobile driver’s license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Demonstrated skills in brake and hydraulic systems, steering, suspension, alignments, automotive maintenance, and tire repair.
• Current federal, state, and local certifications or licenses where applicable.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people, with reading, writing, and math skills.
• Preferred: three years of automotive repair experience, relevant certifications or assessments, or completion of a vocational-technical program.
• Employment requires completion of Form I-9 verification; temporary work authorization or the need for sponsorship may disqualify applicants.

Nice to have

• A.S.E. certification in at least one A1–A8 area; L1 certification is also acceptable.
