Entry Level Microbiologist (2nd Shift)

Location: Lancaster, PA, USA; onsite. Candidates must live within a commutable distance of Lancaster. The position is not remote, follows a Tuesday–Saturday, 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m. schedule, and may require 25% travel.

What you will do

• Complete training and perform microbiological analyses of biopharmaceutical ingredients and products.
• Prepare and review reagents, samples, standards, media, and cultures according to procedures.
• Operate laboratory equipment and instrumentation independently or with guidance.
• Document testing, observations, deviations, and results in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Review laboratory data for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to GMP and GLP standards.
• Maintain laboratory operations, workspace cleanliness, productivity, and quality performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biology, or a related field.
• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without sponsorship.
• Experience or ability to perform microscopy, biological safety cabinet work, media preparation, pipetting, organism and culture preparation, serial dilution, and aseptic technique.
• Ability to understand analytical procedures, client-supplied methods, and internal SOPs.
• Ability to use Microsoft Windows applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to work accurately, communicate effectively, collaborate with colleagues, and occasionally work overtime.
