Senior Verification Engineer (m/f/d) (Python/Gherkin)

Location: Onsite in Stuttgart, Germany; flexible working hours and an option to work from home are available.

What you will do

• Plan and execute component, module, and interface verification work packages across the full lifecycle.
• Analyze PRQs and TRQs and translate requirements into executable Gherkin-based test cases.
• Configure test environments, including software and PLC versions, hardware integration, and test setup maintenance.
• Perform hands-on testing on physical devices and collect objective verification evidence.
• Document test results, analyze defects, and support root-cause investigations, corrective actions, retesting, and regression testing.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure product quality, compliance, and successful verification outcomes.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in technical verification or testing of integrated hardware-software or mechatronic systems.
• High proficiency in Gherkin and Python, with strong test analysis and design skills.
• Very good English and German are required.
• Full onsite deployment capability in Stuttgart is required.
• Hands-on experience with emulators, simulators, and software, PLC, or hardware installation and configuration.
• Experience with ALM or test management tools, defect tracking, and agile ceremonies.
