Data Engineering Intern (Cloud Data Platforms)

Location: Hybrid in Denver, Colorado, with in-office work on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Candidates must live in the United States and be authorized to work there full time.

Salary: $34.23 per hour, with housing assistance available for out-of-state students.

What you will do

• Build and support secure data-sharing solutions across multi-cloud environments using privacy-first Clean Rooms, open protocols, and cloud storage utilities.
• Build, maintain, and deploy reusable multi-cloud infrastructure with Terraform on AWS and Databricks.
• Administer Databricks Unity Catalog to support governance, access controls, and asset discovery.
• Collaborate with platform engineers, security specialists, and internal domain teams to integrate downstream workflows into governed escrow endpoints.

Requirements

• Be a rising junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related technical field.
• Have hands-on experience or coursework in Python, SQL, big data, or distributed systems.
• Have exposure to relational databases, distributed data systems such as Spark, Hadoop, or Databricks, or cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Demonstrate analytical problem-solving, strong communication, organization, self-direction, and willingness to learn complex distributed architectures.
• Be available for a full-time, 12-week summer 2027 internship and work from the United States.
