Trade Analytics Senior Manager (Biotech)

Location: Boston, MA. Remote-eligible with a choice of remote five days per week, hybrid work with up to two remote days per week, or on-site work five days per week.

Salary: $144,000–$216,000 per year, plus eligibility for an annual bonus and annual equity awards.

Global biotechnology company developing and commercializing medicines across cystic fibrosis, sickle cell disease, beta-thalassemia, acute pain, diabetes, and kidney disease.

What you will do

• Drive quarterly business reviews by collecting partner inputs, preparing content, and tracking program performance.
• Analyze distribution trends, order activity, cost per order, inventory status, and related performance data.
• Conduct data engineering, exploration, visualization, and moderately complex analytics using internal and external data sources.
• Collaborate with market access, contract operations, field accounts, finance, compliance, data, supply chain, and other cross-functional partners.
• Support market research, vendor analytics, issue resolution, process improvements, and customer experience initiatives.
• Support new product launches through product setup documentation, external communications, training materials, dashboards, and portal enhancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, business, quantitative, or related discipline.
• Typically four years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; quantitative degree holders require an additional three years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL, SAS, advanced Excel modeling, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Experience with CRM data systems, ETL processes, databases, data warehouses, Snowflake, and pharmaceutical datasets such as de-identified patient data, 852, 867, chargeback, and 3PL data.
• Strong communication, presentation, project management, problem-solving, vendor management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Work location must align with the Boston-based role and Vertex flex options: remote, hybrid, or on-site.

Nice to have

• Programming experience with VBA, R, SAS, or Python.
• Additional data visualization experience, including Power BI.
