Real World Evidence Associate Director (Biotech)

Location: Boston, MA, United States. Hybrid-eligible with remote work up to two days per week, or on-site five days per week with ad hoc flexibility.

Salary: $174,400–$261,600 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual bonus and equity awards.

What you will do

• Lead focused epidemiology and natural history research across assigned therapeutic areas and early development indications.
• Develop data sourcing strategies and evaluate registries and other real world data sources for clinical endpoints, inclusion criteria, and historical controls.
• Execute approved observational research tactics and develop protocol concepts and supporting materials for scientific review.
• Align RWE studies with disease program and functional goals while contributing to evidence generation plans, metrics, and dashboards.
• Represent RWE on cross-functional program, disease strategy, and pipeline teams, and facilitate collaborations with academic partners, consortia, and data vendors.
• Support publications, conference abstracts, presentations, and peer-reviewed manuscripts while mentoring RWE colleagues.

Requirements

• PhD preferred, or MS/MPH in epidemiology, biostatistics, health economics and outcomes research, or a related field.
• Formal graduate training in epidemiology or health services research.
• At least 5 years of observational research experience in life sciences, academia, government, or consulting.
• At least 3 years of RWE and/or epidemiology experience at a biopharmaceutical company.
• Demonstrated ability to design and execute observational research, manage studies, and communicate findings clearly to cross-functional audiences.
• Knowledge of RWE regulatory guidance and the use of RWE in regulatory decision-making.
