TL;DR
Smart Contract / Backend Engineer (Solidity/DeFi): Building and operating DeFi yield vault smart contracts, backend services, and automation for allocating and managing user capital with an accent on security, NAV accuracy, and reliable on-chain operations. Focus on designing vault architectures, evaluating protocol risk, automating rebalancing and redemption flows, and detecting failures before they affect users.
Location: On-site four days per week at an office in New York, Denver, or the Cayman Islands; Dubai is also listed as a location.

What you will do
- Design, write, deploy, configure, and extend yield vault smart contracts across new strategies, assets, and chains.
- Build tooling for allocations, trades, harvesting, rebalancing, vault policies, whitelists, and administration.
- Develop backend services for redemption flows, liquidity buffers, NAV reporting, position pricing, and unwind logic.
- Automate on-chain operations so allocations, harvesting, and rebalancing run reliably without manual intervention.
- Review and sign vault rebalancing transactions as a multisig signer and participate in protocol operations.
- Monitor vaults for broken oracles, depegs, stuck withdrawals, bad allocations, and other security issues.
Requirements
- Strong production experience with Solidity, secure smart-contract design, edge cases, and failure modes.
- Strong backend engineering skills in services, automation, and production tooling.
- Deep DeFi knowledge, including protocol documentation, contracts, yield sources, and risk assessment.
- 4+ years of industry engineering experience.
- Experience shipping and operating a real yield vault, such as an ERC-4626, BoringVault-style, or comparable architecture.
- Ability to work on-site four days per week at one of the listed offices.
Nice to have
- Experience with vault platforms, asset curators, or yield products with real TVL.
- Hands-on experience with lending markets, LSTs, LRTs, basis and funding trades, or stablecoin yield.
- Audit or security review experience.
- Experience building personal contracts, conducting protocol audits, developing MEV bots, or extensive DeFi experimentation.
