Software Engineer Co-Op (Summer 2027)

Location: East Syracuse, New York, United States; onsite role.

Salary: $20.27–$22.30 per hour, plus a sign-on bonus to offset housing expenses for eligible Co-Ops living outside the typical commuting distance.

What you will do

• Participate in software development for radar systems.
• Design and develop modular, configurable software for use across multiple programs.
• Work under the guidance of senior software engineers.
• Participate in internal technical meetings and design reviews.
• Plan and schedule activities in collaboration with the software lead.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Enrollment in an accredited Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related degree program.
• Completion of sophomore year or beyond at the time of hire.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Knowledge of Java or C++ software development and object-oriented programming.
• Eligibility for access to classified information and successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with UML modeling tools, Linux-based software development, unit testing frameworks, or Subversion.
• Prior Co-Op experience.
