Vice President (Letter of Credit)

Salary: $150,000–$300,000 base salary, plus potential discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Structure and advise on Letter of Credit facilities within complex debt transactions.
• Coordinate between global Capital Solutions Group deal teams, corporate clients, financial sponsors, and LC Operations.
• Review, draft, and negotiate standby LC language to reduce operational, legal, and financial risk.
• Review and mark up Credit Agreements, Security Agreements, Cash Deposit Agreements, and related LC documentation.
• Ensure issued instruments comply with laws and regulatory frameworks across global jurisdictions.
• Apply international trade finance standards, including ISP98, UCP600, and URDG758.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Law, or a related field; a JD or MBA is a plus.
• 6–8+ years of experience in structured trade finance, debt capital markets, leveraged finance, or specialized legal work focused on letters of credit and bank guarantees.
• Detailed knowledge of LC and bank guarantee issuance, processing, and textual language in the United States and international jurisdictions.
• Deep knowledge of ISP98, UCP600, and URDG758.
• Strong understanding of leveraged finance, investment-grade, real estate, bilateral, and cash-collateralized loan structures.
• Proven experience reviewing and negotiating complex credit, security, cash deposit, and bespoke LC documentation.
