Maintenance Shop Lead Tech

What you will do

• Direct a group of technicians and ensure repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Repair and maintain heavy-truck chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems, brakes, engines, suspension, drivetrain, steering, and HVAC systems.
• Diagnose complex malfunctions using electronic tools and perform repairs both on-site and on the road.
• Schedule repair work, inspect third-party repairs, and help reduce lost productivity in the shop.
• Perform line-maintenance welding and fabrication and mentor subordinate technicians.
• Handle Maintenance Supervisor responsibilities when needed.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks.
• Ability to independently inspect and repair selected heavy-truck or automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, hydraulics, drivetrains, steering, suspension, and diesel emissions.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Work is based at the Marks, Mississippi, USA location.

Nice to have

• At least 3 years of experience working under OSHA HazCom, lockout/tagout, and fire-protection requirements.
• At least 1 year of supervisory or lead technician experience.
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications T1–T8.
• Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License.
