HazMat Field Driver/Technician (Hazardous Waste)

Location: Anchorage, Alaska, USA; field-based work with variable scheduling and 3–4 overnight shifts per week possible.

What you will do

• Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers, roll-offs, tankers, gravel trains, box trucks, and other vehicle types.
• Transport bulk and containerized hazardous and non-hazardous waste and perform LTL pickups.
• Apply DOT requirements for hazardous-waste collection, packaging, placarding, labeling, load segregation, and securement.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain logbooks, permits, trip reports, manifests, and other driver documentation.
• Interact with customers, maintain facility and vehicle cleanliness, and use assigned mobile applications and maintenance software.
• Support lab pack and field service projects as a technician and participate in site-safety training.

Requirements

• Valid Class A commercial driver's license with hazardous-material and tanker endorsements, or the ability to obtain the endorsements within 90 days of hire.
• Motor vehicle record must meet company policy standards.
• Ability to pass 40-hour HAZWOPER training upon hire.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical loading and unloading tasks.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, prioritize work, and manage multiple responsibilities.
