Operational Excellence Specialist (Manufacturing)

Location: Aalborg, Nordjylland, Denmark; remote/flexible work is offered.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain Power BI reports and semantic data models for performance reviews.
• Develop and validate simulations covering production flow, capacity, constraints, queues, takt, and staffing.
• Build digital applications and automation that improve production flow, standard work, escalation, and operational decisions.
• Write, review, document, and maintain code for analytics, integrations, applications, and simulation models.
• Translate analytical outputs into recommendations with clear assumptions, sensitivities, and limitations.
• Collaborate with Operational Excellence, Program Management, IT, Engineering, Planning, Finance, and Production teams to ensure adoption and long-term maintainability.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering or a comparable technical discipline.
• Hands-on experience with digitalization and data in an operational, industrial, or technical environment.
• Proven experience building simulation models and taking them through to validated results.
• Good knowledge of Excel; coding and data software development experience are advantageous.
• Professional proficiency in Danish and English, both written and spoken.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders and the ability to handle challenging technical work with defined outcomes.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python for simulation, analysis, and automation.
• Power BI skills including data modeling, DAX, Power Query, report design, validation, and performance optimization.
• Experience in manufacturing or production, particularly in large-scale industry.
