Intern - Enterprise Risk Management (AI)

What you will do

• Identify, document, and analyze risks affecting strategic and operational objectives.
• Support enterprise risk assessments, risk quantification, and risk-informed decision-making.
• Track mitigation activities across business units.
• Research emerging risks, industry developments, and regulatory trends affecting grid operations.
• Support key risk indicator development, wildfire risk analysis, and third-party risk monitoring.
• Explore applications of artificial intelligence and emerging AI techniques in enterprise risk management.

Requirements

• Undergraduate or graduate student studying business, finance, risk management, economics, engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, research, communication, and documentation skills.
• Basic proficiency with Excel, data analysis, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work accurately.
• Collaborative, team-oriented approach and willingness to learn.
• Availability for a full-time summer internship from early June through the second week of August 2027, with at least 2 on-site days per week in Taylor, TX.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with risk management concepts or frameworks such as COSO ERM.
