Senior Accountant (Tax and Advisory): Reviewing and preparing statutory and management accounts, tax returns, group consolidations, and planning calculations for owner-managed businesses and corporate groups with an accent on technical accuracy, commercial advice, and complex reporting. Focus on challenging and improving client work, resolving accounting queries, managing relationships, and mentoring junior accountants.
Location: Coventry, West Midlands, United Kingdom
Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum plus a company car or car allowance

What you will do
- Review and oversee statutory and management accounts.
- Review self-assessment, corporation tax, and partnership tax returns.
- Prepare and review dividend and interest planning calculations.
- Manage client relationships and provide clear, commercially relevant advice.
- Review complex group consolidations and statutory reporting, liaising with auditors on technical accounting queries.
- Coach and mentor junior team members while supporting team development and resolving internal and external queries.
Requirements
- Experience reviewing statutory and management accounts for varied client portfolios.
- Knowledge of self-assessment, corporation tax, partnership tax, and consolidated group reporting.
- Strong technical accounting judgement and ability to identify opportunities to add value.
- Ability to manage client relationships and communicate advice clearly and professionally.
- Experience supporting or mentoring junior colleagues.
