Data Scientist (Chemical Industry)

Location: Hybrid work at the Monopolis complex in Lodz, Poland

Salary: PLN 175,500–292,500 per year, plus a performance-related 12% yearly bonus

What you will do

• Lead data science projects from planning through execution, managing scope, budget, quality, and delivery.
• Apply data science and mathematical optimization to improve chemical products, industrial processes, and business decisions.
• Connect data patterns with chemical and operational processes to create practical solutions.
• Collaborate across functions to develop complete data products for real business challenges.
• Integrate modern data science tools into existing systems and scale solutions across the organization.
• Build internal data science capabilities and support external partnerships for continued innovation.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or Biotechnology.
• 3–5 years of independent development experience in data science or a related field.
• Programming experience with Python, R, or similar languages.
• Experience with GenAI or other models and a solid foundation in mathematical optimization.
• Strong business and technical understanding, problem-solving ability, and the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
• Fluent English and availability for the hybrid work model in Lodz, Poland.
