Simulation & Modelling Engineer (Spacecraft Simulators)

Location: On-site at the Airbus site in Friedrichshafen, near Immenstaad am Bodensee, Germany

hirify.global develops simulator infrastructure for spacecraft platforms, payloads, equipment, and avionics programs.

What you will do

• Design and develop simulators and simulation models for satellite systems.
• Create test procedures and test plans.
• Implement and execute automated and manual component, integration, and system tests.
• Define and create software releases.
• Provide technical support to simulator users.

Requirements

• Degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline.
• Professional experience in simulation and modelling.
• Knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design using UML or similar methods.
• Experience developing desktop tools with client/server architecture and knowledge of software development processes and DevOps frameworks and utilities.
• Excellent knowledge of C++ and Java, plus experience with Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of machine-to-machine communication protocols, SpaceWire, MIL-STD-1553, ECSS PUS, or CAN.
• Knowledge of spacecraft avionics systems and numerical or hybrid simulator design.
• Additional experience in simulation and modelling.
