Packaging Technician 5 (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Kalamazoo, Michigan, United States. This is a third-shift position from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.; weekend, holiday, and overtime work may be required. Candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the United States.

Salary: $21.78–$36.30 per hour, plus eligibility for overtime, weekend, holiday, and other applicable pay premiums.

hirify.global develops and manufactures medicines for patients worldwide, with this role supporting pharmaceutical production at the Kalamazoo site.

What you will do

• Operate selected production process and automated packaging equipment.
• Set up equipment with guidance, perform manual packaging, line clearances, cleaning, and process checks.
• Support capital projects, corrective actions, compliance assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain production quality, schedule accountability, operating procedures, GMP requirements, and accurate documentation.
• Train and mentor new colleagues and temporary contract workers.
• Report GMP documentation issues and errors to leadership while supporting site and unit objectives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and at least two years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in math and reading to understand Standard Operating Procedures, GMP/cGMP requirements, and batch records.
• Ability to follow written, oral, and diagram-based instructions and perform tasks under demanding conditions.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and equipment operation.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 42 pounds; manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination are required.
• Permanent U.S. work authorization is required; U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Pharmaceutical or manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of GMP and familiarity with automated packaging equipment.
• Problem-solving, communication, attention-to-detail, and independent-work skills.
• Basic understanding of AI tools and curiosity about using them to improve productivity.
