Technical Project Manager 2 (Nuclear Construction)

What you will do

• Manage discrete technical construction scope from project initiation through turnover.
• Define and track project deliverables, budgets, schedules, risks, control accounts, and work packages.
• Oversee technical requirements and day-to-day administrative and operational management of an assigned project or program area.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate policies, procedures, and standards for construction and work execution in a nuclear facility.
• Support project budgets and provide technical guidance to project teams, support departments, and matrixed resources.
• Coordinate and, when needed, lead project planning, tracking, and execution across multiple technical organizations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and five years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prior nuclear facility or laboratory experience, including active decontamination and decommissioning, construction, testing, and turnover in a DOE or NNSA setting.
• Experience working under NQA-1 requirements in a nuclear facility environment.
• Experience working within strict nuclear security and classification environments.
• Active Q clearance is required.
• US citizenship is required.

• Construction experience in a nuclear facility.
• Experience with work planning and controls in a DOE or NNSA nuclear facility.
• Experience coordinating construction, operations, radiological control, criticality safety, nuclear safety, occupational safety, and other support organizations.
• Strong communication, coordination, and project execution skills in regulated environments.
