Senior Technical Project Manager (Fusion Energy)

Location: Devens, Massachusetts, United States; on-site

Salary: $140,000–$200,000 per year, plus equity and benefits

hirify.global develops commercially viable fusion power plants and is building SPARC, a compact fusion machine.

What you will do

• Drive complex SPARC engineering projects from inception through completion.
• Develop and manage plans for the engineering, procurement, and construction of highly engineered process systems.
• Coordinate engineers, scientists, designers, analysts, procurement specialists, and other stakeholders in a cross-functional matrix team.
• Manage project milestones, costs, schedules, risks, deliverables, and mitigation strategies.
• Track project progress, resolve schedule conflicts, and provide regular stakeholder reporting.
• Improve project methods, communication standards, reporting channels, and execution processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering.
• At least 8 years of experience in engineering and project management across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Experience managing complex engineering projects and leading technical project lifecycles.
• Strong knowledge of project management, planning, scheduling, and engineering product lifecycles, including phase-gate reviews such as CDR, PDR, or FDR.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and scheduling tools such as MS Project or P6.
• Willingness to work on-site in Devens, Massachusetts, travel when required, and work nights, weekends, or on-call shifts when necessary.

Nice to have

• Experience with new product introduction or delivery programs for high-tech components or assemblies.
• Vendor management experience for complex, highly engineered systems.
