Senior AWS Cloud Network Engineer (AWS)

What you will do

• Design, implement, and support enterprise AWS network architectures across multi-account and multi-region environments.
• Build hybrid connectivity between AWS and on-premises infrastructure using Direct Connect, Site-to-Site VPN, BGP, and routing domains.
• Implement and support Route 53, Route 53 Resolver, private hosted zones, VPC endpoints, PrivateLink, and private API connectivity.
• Integrate network designs with security controls, including firewalls, security groups, network ACLs, segmentation, and least-privilege principles.
• Lead senior-level troubleshooting, incident response, root-cause analysis, change management, and operational readiness activities.
• Improve resilience, capacity planning, observability, documentation, and disaster-recovery capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related discipline, plus 5+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS VPC, Transit Gateway, routing, Direct Connect or Site-to-Site VPN, Route 53, DNS, VPC endpoints, and PrivateLink.
• Strong knowledge of IPv4, TCP/IP, subnetting, CIDR, routing, DNS, and complex network troubleshooting.
• Experience with CloudFormation, Terraform, Python, Bash, or AWS CLI for infrastructure automation.
• Practical experience with BGP or OSPF and troubleshooting hybrid-cloud connectivity.
• Ability to support production environments and participate in critical incident response.

Nice to have

• AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty certification.
• Experience with AWS Organizations, large-scale multi-account and multi-region environments, and enterprise firewalls such as Fortinet or Palo Alto.
• Experience with cloud security architecture, centralized and hybrid DNS, VPC Flow Logs, CloudWatch, packet captures, and network telemetry.
• Experience in regulated or highly controlled enterprise environments.
