Senior Engineering Manager — Network Connectivity

Location: Hybrid. Portugal-based hires are eligible for the listed compensation.

Salary: €89,000–122,000 annual salary for Portugal-based hires; equity plan participation is available.

What you will do

• Hire, mentor, coach, and develop a distributed team of Software Engineers.
• Shape the team’s culture and technical vision while creating opportunities for engineers to lead design, implementation, and delivery.
• Work with Product Managers and Engineering leaders to communicate the vision, prioritize the roadmap, and deliver cross-functional objectives.
• Guide technical decisions across distributed network infrastructure, including data planes and control-plane services.
• Oversee production services, on-call rotations, customer escalations, incident response, and follow-up.
• Drive reliability, monitoring, debugging, and automation improvements across the platform.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager for Software and Systems Engineers.
• Track record of hiring, onboarding, managing, and developing engineering teams.
• Experience planning and overseeing execution with predictable delivery.
• Experience or interest in Layer 3 and Layer 4 networking and network performance monitoring and tuning.
• Experience monitoring, alerting, and debugging distributed systems, including production services with direct customer impact.
• Clear written and verbal communication and willingness to integrate AI tools into the workflow.
