Mission Manager (Space)

Location: Hybrid; based in Harwell, UK, Barcelona, Spain, Coimbra, Portugal, or Athens, Greece. Legal right to work in the chosen location is required.

What you will do

• Manage assigned mission phases or smaller end-to-end activities across schedule, cost, and delivery objectives.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across engineering, manufacturing, AIT, operations, supply chain, and commercial functions.
• Maintain project schedules, milestones, budgets, and delivery tracking.
• Act as a day-to-day contact for internal stakeholders, selected customers, partners, and suppliers.
• Support technical and programmatic reviews, reporting, action tracking, and risk mitigation.
• Contribute to mission readiness, integration campaigns, launch preparation, and operational planning.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of project management fundamentals, including scope, schedule, cost, and risk management.
• Awareness of spacecraft systems, payloads, or multidisciplinary engineering programmes.
• Experience with project management and tracking tools such as MS Project, Jira, or similar platforms.
• Strong organisation, coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Understanding of supplier and contract management principles, with the ability to manage changing priorities.
• Legal right to work in the selected UK, Spanish, Portuguese, or Greek location; application and CV must be submitted in English.
