Electrical Engineer - Tipperary - Pharma Client (Electrical Engineering/Pharmaceutical Manufacturing): Delivering and managing electrical capital projects across GMP manufacturing and utility systems with an accent on project execution, commissioning, compliance, and stakeholder coordination. Focus on troubleshooting electrical systems, upgrading PLC/BMS/SCADA/DCS infrastructure, supporting validation and qualification, and maintaining safety, schedule, and cost control.
Location: Cork, Ireland, with site-based work near Clonmel, County Tipperary. Flexible hybrid arrangement combining site and home working.

What you will do
- Prepare project scopes for manufacturing and process areas and apply value engineering.
- Evaluate MCCs and electrical installations and identify integrity and efficiency improvements.
- Define electrical requirements and coordinate with stakeholders, vendors, contractors, and construction management.
- Manage electrical projects throughout the lifecycle while controlling safety, schedule, cost, and regulatory compliance.
- Install and commission GMP and non-GMP manufacturing and utility systems.
- Support validation and qualification of GMP equipment and troubleshoot issues with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams.
Requirements
- Relevant third-level degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Instrumentation Engineering.
- 8–10 years of experience delivering electrical projects in complex, highly automated GMP manufacturing facilities.
- Ability to read, understand, and fault-find electrical schematics and systems during FATs and site commissioning.
- Knowledge of instrumentation, automation, and control systems, including PLC, BMS, SCADA, and DCS upgrades.
- Strong understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices and excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

- Knowledge and experience with hazardous areas and ATEX requirements.
