Senior Mobile Software Engineer (Android) - Olo App

Location: Remote within Northern Ireland, Belfast

What you will do

• Design and deliver complex native Android features using Kotlin.
• Participate in distributed-systems architecture and improve reliability, scalability, performance, and resilience.
• Maintain production services, diagnose critical issues, and participate in on-call duties.
• Lead code reviews, set quality standards, and mentor junior engineers.
• Improve CI/CD, testing, deployment practices, development tooling, and technical debt management.
• Collaborate with Product and stakeholders to refine requirements and align solutions with business goals.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience focused on native mobile development.
• Advanced proficiency in native Android development with Kotlin.
• Experience independently designing and implementing complex algorithms and architectures.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions.
• Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, including automated testing and deployment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
