Senior Java Developer

Location: Warsaw, Poland; remote work is available through a work-from-anywhere culture.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain components of a complex tax administration system covering tax declarations, calculations, assessments, and integrations with external systems.
• Implement software components based on design specifications and participate in system integration and testing.
• Perform unit testing, troubleshoot issues, and participate in incident triage and prioritization.
• Estimate project efforts and delivery timelines while collaborating with project stakeholders and distributed teams.
• Provide technical input into product roadmaps and support the optimization of CI/CD processes.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Java development.
• Strong experience with Spring Framework and Quarkus.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or another relational database, REST/SOAP integrations, and messaging systems such as Kafka or ActiveMQ.
• Good understanding of software testing principles.
• Confident English communication and strong collaboration skills with stakeholders and distributed teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Angular front-end development.
• German or Swiss German language skills.
