Senior Java Backend Engineer (Java)

What you will do

• Design and develop backend microservices with Java 21 and Spring Boot 3.x.
• Build RESTful APIs with documented OpenAPI/Swagger specifications and implement gRPC services and Protobuf schemas.
• Develop event-driven solutions with Apache Kafka consumers and producers.
• Integrate backend services with OIC, Salesforce, and SAP ISU.
• Implement OAuth 2.0/OIDC authentication, token validation, and role-based access control.
• Collaborate with DevOps and platform teams on Docker and Kubernetes deployments while maintaining unit and integration tests.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST, data access, and security.
• Experience migrating applications from older Java versions and working with Kafka-based event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, Azure Cosmos DB, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, OAuth2, OIDC, and RBAC.
• Experience with automated unit and integration testing and Agile development.

Nice to have

• Experience with Confluent Kafka, Azure Event Hubs, or AKS.
• Enterprise integration experience with Salesforce or SAP ISU.
• Familiarity with cloud-native observability tools and Azure DevOps.
