Java Software Engineer (Market Risk Technology)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain Java-based applications supporting market risk.
• Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions.
• Work with large relational databases, including logical modelling and complex query optimization.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, knowledge sharing, and technical roadmap planning.
• Maintain and improve existing applications, support production environments, and handle BAU requests.
• Explore AI agents and automation tools across software development, testing, validation, and production deployment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java, Spring, and relational databases.
• Strong object-oriented design and development skills, with knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large relational databases.
• Experience with JUnit and unit testing.
• Ability to write scripts using Shell and/or Python.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills; ability to work independently and follow coding standards.
