Senior Principal Engineer - Global Operations Engineering

Location: Marsa, Malta

Salary: Minimum annual base salary of €47,200, with eligibility for a bonus and benefits package.

What you will do

• Independently plan, schedule, and lead global cross-functional engineering projects.
• Build business cases for profit margin improvements, supplier changes, and strategic initiatives, including savings, timelines, resources, capital, and operating costs.
• Lead projects that mitigate critical supply chain risks and manage execution across global manufacturing sites.
• Monitor project progress, costs, technical deliverables, and change-control documentation.
• Lead complex problem-solving initiatives, implement CAPA, and apply DMAIC, FMEA, DOE, and statistical analysis.
• Coach engineers, resolve project conflicts, and communicate status to teams and management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science and 8–10 years of related experience.
• Experience in technical management, project management, and leadership.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and international environments while managing competing priorities.
• Strong communication skills and experience preparing technical documentation, protocols, reports, and change-control materials.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, plus data management using Excel, SharePoint, databases, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of highly regulated industries and manufacturing; pharmaceutical or medical device experience is an advantage.

Nice to have

• Microsoft SharePoint Online and workflow experience.
• PMI, IPMA, or equivalent project management certification.
• Engineering warrant or progress toward obtaining one.
