People Lead (EdTech)

What you will do

• Lead the UK People function supporting a team of more than 270 employees.
• Coach managers and leaders on expectations, feedback, underperformance, difficult conversations, and effective people management.
• Develop performance, talent, progression, workforce planning, and capability practices with senior leadership.
• Build an efficient and consistent hiring process that evolves with the talent market and AI-driven changes in recruitment.
• Lead complex employee matters, including complaints, grievances, investigations, performance issues, and sensitive cases.
• Build useful People metrics, maintain UK employment compliance, and develop scalable policies, systems, processes, and documentation.

Requirements

• Experience leading or developing a People or HR function in a growing organisation.
• Strong capability in manager coaching, performance management, talent development, and workforce planning.
• Experience handling complex employee relations matters and working with employment lawyers when required.
• Ability to use People data and metrics to identify trends, risks, and organisational priorities.
• Ability to work on-site in London (Oval).
