Senior Technical Recruiter (AI): Owning difficult technical searches and hiring engineering and AI talent for proactive AI applications with an accent on headhunting, technical profile assessment, and international talent mapping. Focus on partnering with engineering leaders, closing senior candidates through complex negotiations, and improving recruiting strategy using market and pipeline data.

What you will do
- Own technical searches end-to-end across AI/ML, backend, frontend, mobile, infrastructure, and engineering leadership.
- Build talent maps and sourcing strategies across AI startups, technology companies, research organisations, and technical communities.
- Identify and headhunt high-quality passive candidates through relevant platforms, networks, and communities.
- Evaluate technical profiles in depth, including candidates’ actual contributions and relevance to the role.
- Partner with engineering leaders to calibrate hiring standards, refine target profiles, and improve interview processes.
- Manage senior candidates through compensation discussions, competing offers, negotiations, and closing.
Requirements
- 5+ years of recruiting experience with substantial software engineering and technical hiring experience.
- Demonstrated success independently delivering difficult technical hires through proactive headhunting.
- Strong understanding of software engineering disciplines and ability to evaluate technical profiles beyond titles and keywords.
- Strong sourcing skills across LinkedIn, relevant platforms, communities, and professional networks.
- Ability to advise hiring managers using evidence from the talent market.
- Strong candidate management, negotiation, closing skills, ownership, judgement, and execution speed.
Nice to have
- Experience recruiting AI/ML engineers, researchers, distributed systems engineers, or senior technical leaders.
- Experience hiring internationally across multiple technical talent markets.
- Experience recruiting for an early-stage AI or technology company.
