Senior Backend Engineer (AdTech)

Location: Seoul, South Korea; hybrid workplace

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain backend services powering core products and platforms.
• Develop event-driven systems and scalable microservices with Go, Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Drive architecture decisions that improve performance, resiliency, and maintainability.
• Monitor, debug, and continuously improve production service performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, design, and QA teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, knowledge sharing, automated testing, CI/CD, and on-call support.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience with Go or a similar language.
• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and event-based communication.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and container orchestration, including Kubernetes and Docker.
• Understanding of observability, monitoring, performance optimization, and production troubleshooting.
• Business-level Korean proficiency is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in gaming, payments, commerce systems, adtech, or offer monetization platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar streaming platforms.
• Experience with Redis, AWS, GCP, Azure, ClickHouse, Postgres, or other analytical and transactional databases.
• Experience building internal platforms or developer-facing tools.
